Show us your life: Favorite Books/Children Books

As a child I always had my nose stuck in a book. That is probably why my family thinks that I am a nerd. Well I where that title proudly as I am still a little book nerd when I have the time to read. The last series that I read was the Twilight books and they were incredible of course.

My childhood favorite book was The Little Red Hen! Instead of taking naps in kinder garden I was shoved in a corner with a book. The teacher figured it would keep me quiet as I was a bit of a loud mouth child that did not shush! What can I say....nothing has changed!

When I got older, I forget what age, but I had to read The Secret Garden for school and actually loved it so much that I saved my money and bought the book so I could read at home. Then I read and fell in love with the movie.

Clayton has a few favorites. Dr Seuss, Curious George, and of course ANYTHING with ELMO!!! His aunt and uncle actually got him his favorite book and I think I can recite the book from memory.

DH's favorites have always been anything by Stephen King. He has a ton of his books. The last series he read was the Dark Tower Series.

My favorite author is Nora Roberts and I love to read her Death Series books. She writes under the name J.D Robb.

  2. I LOVE Secret Garden! The movie was one of my favorites growing up. So you like the J.D. Robb ones? I've always been curious about them, but I'm not really into her other stuff, so I've never checked this series out. You're the first person I've "met" who has read them. I may have to look into them if they're good! Thanks for sharing. :)
