3rd Annual Friends Christmas Party

December 16 marked the day of our 3rd Annual Friends Christmas Party. I get so excited around this time of year and since we are all usually running around to our families houses and our business Christmas parties Mr. Randolph and I need to make sure that we always set aside a special night to celebrate the season with our friends.

The planning almost always starts months in advance with just hammering down a day. Then we start getting the menu together in the month of December and it usually changes so often. I mean if your dog eats a special cake mix you bought for cupcakes then you have to change the menu! You laugh....it happened!

We of course had the famous Candy Cane Martinis and they were a big hit. Nanny Wheazy has skills when it comes to making fancy drinks. She won't drink them though, lol.

There a few new couples and co-workers that were able to make the party. The more the merrier. It made for a lot more work but I am a great hostess and that is my duty. When the presents started getting handed out the excitement began. We were very proud of Tater Man because when the guest arrived and handed him a gift he would promptly bring it and place it under the tree. Mr. Randolph and I were in shock because not once in the past 3 years have we ever had to fuss at him for messing with the presents under the tree. He is such a good boy.

He was also acting a little shy this night and reserved because there were people there he did not know. Tater Man had a sit down talk with Uncle Kris about being courteous and always thanking the nice people that bring you gifts. Since he is a very spoiled child we thank God for him learning that being thankful for what you already have it whats most important.
Uncle Kris always will to give the Tater his life lesson!
He is one lucky fella to have so much guidance and people to look
up too!
The Thevis' always seem to shine at this party lol!

Tater Man's first taste of pop rocks.

It was love at first sight!
I always try and get the picture taking done and out
of the way because the men's get antsy. They are
great sports though and always provide great memories

Love at first type! The future Mr. and Mrs. O'Neal!
His Aunt and Uncles Spoil him ROTTEN! I can't wait to
hook this up to one of our computers and let him show me
how to work the dang thing!
Curtis and Maggie!

I have been talking and whining about my old set of pots and pans for the past couple of years.  They were all scratched up and no longer non-stick! I hated them and made sure to tell Mr. Randolph each and every time I had to use them. Sorry honey! One of my favorites chefs is Rachel Ray and when she came out with a line of products I fell in love. I like the different colors she uses and her products are very well made. I was very overjoyed when I unwrapped this gift from one of my besties! Can't you tell!?

Tater was a huge help when it came to unwrapping!

....that's why I love them.
Yeah I believe it was made just for him!
Curtis, Joey, and Mr. Randolph cooking and drinking.

After a few of the guests left the boys got all relaxed and the video gaming commenced. This was my cue to head to bed with my nice buzz.

I was very proud of my little outfit I put together!

Until next year.....

Big boy chair!

We went to visit Tater Man's Nanny today and she was able to give him his present. He finally has a car seat that fits him! I mean really the child's head was above the top of his old chair. Now he can grow with his new chair. I am so excited! It's his Lightening McQueen chair. I guess its the red liner that reminds him of his Kachow?! It has two cup holders but instead of putting his water in either of them he has one car in each.

Gotta love the fake cheese, right?!

Weekend at the Camp!----a year ago?!

Wow, so I found this year-old post in my drafts. This from Mr Randolph's birthday celebration last year! Better late than never.

The first weekend in October we decided to celebrate Mr Randolph's birthday. Since the weather was beautiful and we took the Friday off we decided to take a three day weekend get out town. Our little family of three, two couples, and two of our friends decided we would go to Mr Randolph's families camp. The drive was only 2.5 hours and Potato did great!

We were ready at 5:30am Friday to start our three day weekend. Joey, had already started his drive at 3am. Way to early for me but he drives a bike and would rather not be on the road with a lot of crazies! One of the little towns just outside of the Enon has a Wild Life Preserve. We wanted to check out the prices and times so we drove in and Potato was all to excited to see all of the Eldafants(deer & ellk)! He was losing his mind.

As we drove up to the camp we saw our favorite sign "Nice and EZ." Potato only had a diaper on at the time because there was an explosion in the backseat on the way. I think he gets motion sick like I do. Anyway I took him out of the carseat and just plopped him in the grass. He was amazed by the huge front yard. Then he took off. Happiness does not explain what I felt.

After unpacking and deciding where everyone would bunk we all sat outside and enjoyed the weather. Mr Randolph and I ran to the grocery store for supplies. I mean what camping trip can you have without roasted wieners and mooshmellows?! ;-) The boys took the tractor out to gather wood for the fire. Potato did not care to ride the tractor....to loud. While they gathered wood, Potato and I went and played on the beach.

The water was extremly cold but he did not care. He just kept screaming WHADDA! I swear the child should have been a fish! We made a big fire that night and our two other couples rolled in after a long fight with traffic. It was so nice to see everyone.

The next morning I woke up and started making the mac daddy breakfast. Breakfast ala Kayla consisted of waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, and apple juice. I have never made so many waffles in my life. Everyone chowed down. Since they weren't able to see anything that night we took them all on a tour of the property and spent a lot of time at the beach.

Mr Randolph and Joey brought a few guns and we did a lot of target practicing. Lets just say I haven't lost my touch. Potato even got in a few rounds. He loves watching his daddy shoot the pow pow. I am going to have to pick him up some shooters muffs (ear protection). We all went to a buffet in town for lunch and then by Saturday night our two couple friends were headed back home.

Then my bestie came in that night. We greeted her with a big bonfire and mooshmellows. Sunday morning was a little bittersweet since it was time to pack up. Afte rwe cleaned up everything and loaded up the car, I had to force the boys to get going. We made it home to watch the Saints win the football game. What an incredible weekend and we can't wait to go back!

Lion King in 3D

I was a bad mother and drug my son out on Sunday night to see a movie. I blame it on his Nanny, it was her idea anyways! We were going to see one of my all time favorites when I was growing up, Lion King, but it was in 3D.

I could really careless if a movie is in 3D or not but for Tater's first experience, it worked out great! Did you know that babies get into the theatre for FREE. Yeah I did not realize that. We should be dragging Tater to more movies now that we know this pertinent information.

Well it never fails, when I watch this movie and Mufasa dies, I cry. I looked over and I believe my heart broke a little more when I saw the Tater with his head down with very big sad eyes. This was the first time that Tater watched a cartoon with a character death. I immediately grabbed his hand and told him that it was ok. I mean, what the hell else would you say?!?!

Thankfully that part of the movie did not last long! The rest of the movie we spent it laughing and pointing out the big YIYONs and munkeys. The movie ended and Tater was soooo not happy. He wanted to stay and watch it again, and again, and again. I told him daddy would get him the movie so that he could watch it anytime he likes. All smiles!

I can't wait until the next movie with Tater.

Back in March: "Leave the gun. Take the canoli."

I stopped blogging at the end of February so there is a lot that you guys haven't seen. Tater's, Nanny Wheazy, got him one of the most perfect shirts ever. His Parrain was pretty jealous that he hadn't got him the shirt.....but he supplies the artillery!

He is pretty much spoiled rotten by both of these guys. Mr Randolph and I have been best friends with them since we were just kids and who better to help us raise/guide Tater. Although they are not the only people that have won stolen Tater's heart.

We depend on these two people to teach Tater things that mommy and daddy can't and give him more love than he can stand.

Shirt from his Nanny!

Extremely cool pow-pow from Parrain!

Supper Club- Ala Nicole!

Wow I know this is incredibly late, but I did not want to lose this memory.

Saturday September 25 we had our monthly Supper Club meeting. If you remember that week had been crazy with Aiden (Gecko) being born and just that morning Cheyenne (Sweet Potato) was born.

It was Nicole's turn to cook and boy did she rock the house. She made....from.scratch....Chicken Alfredo! All I can say is that there was not a drop of sauce or one noodle left alive. DH is a serious Alfredo addict. Like I need to get him committed. So when he found out what his second wife(maid of honor at our wedding) made Alfredo for dinner I could not stop his drooling.

Everyone went back for seconds and somehow I was able to put a tiny bit in a little tupperware to take to my mom in the hospital. After dinner was over Nicole, Sammy, and I hurried out the door to go love on Cheyenne. Sadly Mishy was sick and was unable to attend. We made sure to kiss her double for her. While we were goo gooing over my niece the boys were at home geeking out over computer games.

The evening was quite incredible and one I could never forget!

Painting with a Twist! -- Your Fleur de Lis

Dear Blogging Buddies,

I have found the ultimate activity for a mommy, wife, or girlfriends! Painting with a Twist! I am sad to say that there are not enough shops open yet. So if there isn't one open close to you I am sorry.

A couple of my girlfriends and I got together and decided we were in need of a little art therapy. I was able to get an insane discount with Sieze the Deal. If you are not signed up you should be, like go do it NOW!

I had heard how much fun it is because you can get a big group of your friends to go with you or you can just hold a private session. Pretty fancy, right?! Although our group wasn't big enough to be private we did take up a quarter of the class. A major plus with going paint with your buds is that they incourage you to bring liqour of your choice. FOE REELZ! So I brought a bottle of red wine.

When you go to a session they have all of the canvases set up with your template already drawn on, major plus for the non-drawer? I went to paint anyway...lol! This session was much different than most because they let us paint with which ever colors we liked.

Overall a completely amazing experience and can't wait to go back. This did ultimately put a little bug in me to pick up a paint brush and learn. My MIL, as you know, paints among her many other activities. She is being so kind to teach me the proper techniques and I am very eager to learn.

When you look below and see that my painting has a little blob on it don't get mad. I had to blob on it because this painting will make its debut in a couple months. I hope you enjoy the others though!

Labor Day Weekend: Trippin it to the zoo!

Sunday found a Sebastyn, a Potato, a Nanny, Ms. Kasie, and me tripping to the zoo. The weather was all to incredible to stay inside. It took us about 1.5 hours to get there but the boys were fine eating snacks and watch Power Rangers. Potato was not too sure about them because the most hard core his cartoons get is the Wonder Pets. I thought his eyes were going to pop out in amazement.

We finally made it there and decided that Ronald McDonald would feed us.......sadly disappointed were we when the boys chicken nuggets looked incredible and out sad little bugers needed some tlc.

DH and I took Potato to this exact zoo on his first birthday and they were doing a lot of rennovations and adding a whole new tiger exhibit. I was super excited that no less that a year later they were done with the rennovations and they had TIGERS. DH's favoritest animal (so sad he missed it) in the world. No worries we will take him one day.

The zoo was perfect because it wasn't crammed with people so the boys were able to run around like chickens. I am not even kidding! When they realized they did not have to sit in the wagon the marathon was on like Donkey Kong!

Potato was completely adorable because after each animal exhibit he had to say buh-bye. When we made it to the geese I knew he would lose it because he loves his 'feet' feets' (tweet tweets). He would say buh-bye feet feets. Then would come the terrible two fit because he did not want to leave them. I had to tell him that we would come back to see the feet feets before we left. Oh how I love this child! P.S. how do you say Buffalo? "Buffalo!" Right....NO its butt-low!

After hours and ours of jam packed fun with a quick break for us ladies in the middle. We needed nachoes, pickles, and diet coke...duh. Well after all that we decided to end our excursion with a train ride around the zoo. Potato needless to say passed out with the motion of the train. Thank God his Nanny was there to cuddle.

It always seems that the trip home is always quicker than the trips to our adventures.

What did you do over the labor day weekend?
