Halloweens Past

I love Halloween and I am absolutely excited about taking Tater Man on his third Trick or Treat'n excursion. He has been practicing saying Halloween and Trick or Treat all week. He walks around talking about pumpkin patches, ghost, and CANDY.

Today Tater Man is having a Halloween Party at school. I will post about that later.

I wanted to dedicate this post to memories past. The last two Halloweens with Tater have been amazing! He is such a trooper and doesn't mind dressing up in whatever crazy costume mommy decides. This year however he did the choosing.
Last year Tater Man and my nephew Lil' Buck dressed up as cowboys and indians. Since my little man can pick up any object and make it into a pow pow gun his outfit was fitting.

Replace the pow pow for the thumb. Rough and Tough I tell you!

Couldn't you just eat him up?!

His first Halloween will be one I never forget though. I participated by dressing up this year and even though there were lots of jokes I played the best damn Banana there has ever been. HeHe!

Birthday Card Fun

My grandmother never misses a birthday without sending a card. Tater Man is the first Great Grandbaby and is completely spoiled rotten. I hope you enjoy the video of him reading his birthday card. His birthday is not until the second of November by I let him have it early. I will put the video on a cd and send it to her! I hope she loves it!

Five Question Friday

I saw a post from a fellow blogger and thought this would be a nice little post to help me pass the day.

1. Where do you escape to when you’ve had enough?

I have learned that there really is no escape from Motherhood or being a Wife. When things get rough and I am at home, I usually take a time out for myself and go upstairs to my room and lay down until I feel like I won’t commit some sort of crime against my boys normal again.

2. What shows are you watching this fall?

I am currently watching Pan Am, Sons of Anarchy, Dexter, Last Man Standing, Revenge, Biggest Loser, Up All Night and I am sure more that I can’t remember.

3. What was the longest road trip you’ve ever taken and where did you go?

My longest road trip had to be when I was a kid and my family went on our regularly scheduled summer vacation. I say regular because every summer my dad took two weeks off to take us to some fabulous place. Well one summer we headed to see Old Faithful. Breathtaking!

4. Do you plan on taking your kids to Disney World?

I would love to take the Tater Man to Disney World. I would like to wait until he is much older so that he can enjoy it and possibly remember what happened.

5. What is something people would be surprised to know about you?

I am mothering, over analyzing, super sensitive, loud, light weight, over achiever…no wait I did not read the question right, LOL!

That I have battled eating disorders (what women hasn’t), was physically/mentally/emotionally scarred by my uncle. I have a skin disease that could possibly kill me if it gets bad enough or turns into the worst version of itself. I love passionately and honestly. I pray for each person that I love every night.

Or KACHOW!

So many decisions! Do you remember a couple of days ago I told you about our trip to Party City to check out the Halloween costumes?

Well now you can add another costume into the decision. If you know Tater Man then you know that Liden Muqween is the biggest deal right now. You can't see it but he has a mini hot wheel version of him in his hand. He couldn't let daddy hold it in the store while we tried on the costume.

This is really not the best picture of the costume because Mr. Randolph is so tall and couldn't get take the photo at the right angle. It's ADORABLE! The hat is a little too small but I think it makes it much better. If I need he can where his white hat he got from Nana. The only thing that would make it better is if he had some red Chuck Taylor's. If I can't find any for cheap then he will just wear his black ones.

I don't know what to do! So many costumes so little time and just my luck he will fall in love with another character before the 31st! I don't care as long as it's not SQUARE PANTS (Sponge Bob), as Tater Man calls him.

Momma......I stuck!

Tater Man is becoming a regular Indiana Jones. He loves to go exploring and find artifacts hidden around the house. Well since his head won't fit under the couches in the living room he figures he should find other means of exploring.

I heard some ruckus going on in his room. It sounded more like he was rearranging his furniture. He likes to do that from time to time so I did not think much of it. I did get very curious when I heard "Mommy...I stuck....HEP ME!" Instant panic struck and I did what every mother does, run to save her child. Well I ran and this is what I found.

The only sensible thing I could think to do was get my phone. ;-)! I had to get my phone so that I could take a picture of this hot mess.  Yep, I am a wonderful mother aren't I. Hey, he wasn't hurt so no harm no foul, right? HeHe!

I asked him was he was doing. "Going on a denture(adventure), mommy!" Duh why didn't I know that? Did I know this is what I got myself into having a boy? Nope! I do love it though.

Dear Nana,

I like to walk with Nana
I like to walk with Nana, She takes small steps like mine.
She never says, “Let’s hurry-up!”
She always takes her time.
I like to walk with Nana,
Her eyes see things like mine.
Small butterflies, a fluffy cloud,
Stars at night that shine.
Most people rush their whole day through,
They rarely stop to see.
I’m glad that God made Nana’s,
Not rushed and young like me!

First G-Babe Tater Man

Happy Birthday Nana!

To RAWR or to CHOO-CHOO, that is the question!

So party city was a little disappointing. They did not have the dino suit that I really liked and I am really not going to blow a ton of money on something to have it shipped. Negative!

I wanted Tater Man to decided exactly what HE wanted to dress-up as for Halloween. Everytime I asked him the past few days it's always something different. He mostly landed on T-Rex, Train, Copter(Airplane), or Liden Muqeen(Lightening McQueen).

They DID NOT have Copter(Airplane), or Liden Muqeen(Lightening McQueen). So sad! I took him to the wall of pictures, that showed all the costumes, and said what would you like to be Tater Man. His eyes landed on the one thing he knows I hate. Sponge Bob Square Pants! I quickly diverted him by saying Square Pants won't fit! Crisis averted, he really could have cared less.

He finally spotted two costumes that were side by side, T-Rex and Wilson the train. It's as if they were calling to him because he got super excited. We tried them both on and he loved them both, but we only chose one.......which one? You will have to wait and see!

What does the T-Rex say Tater Man? RAWR!
I love the little tail!
I swear he is the cutest damn thing and he can really pull off green.

Wison the train. Who, by Tater Man's standards, is way cooler than Thomas the train. Hmph.

Had to practically sit on him so that I could take a picture. He wanted to choo-choo all over the damn store!

Flash Back Friday: Thevis Wedding

First of all please don't mind the date on the photos. It's wrong! A couple of our best friends got married October 10, 2008. I know that their anniversary is not until Monday but it's Flash Back Friday so I figured I would tell them Happy Anniversary early!

They were married such a short time before Tater Man was born thus why I look like Bullwinkle, the moose! This post is not about me or The Randolph’s for that matter. It's all about Auntie Sam-mee-mee and Untle Cwis.

I loved everything about their wedding simplicity and classy. There was no huge fluffy white dress and only very close friends and family. I really don't think that Sammy would have changed anything about this day because what was important to her was only to marry the man of her dreams.

Mr. Randolph and I both went to school with the groom and even though he thought he was too cool for us in school (joking), that is certainly not the case now. We are so glad that he found a woman that fulfills his every need and couldn't ask for a more loving spouse. I definitely have a lot to learn from her. Patience, is one thing!

I digress....This day was incredible, and now we anxiously wait for another set of our best friends to say their vows. It is so precious to be able to share this bond with them.

Mr. Randolph, Tater Man, and I wish Auntie Sam-mee-mee and Untle Cwis a Happy 3 year Anniversary and may you enjoy many, many more to come!

Mr Randolph, Sammy, Chris, Big Momma Randolph!

The future Lee's....I mean O'Neals

The groom, bride and her two besties, Emily and Maggie.

Aren't they just the sweetest! The monkey can't be explained but I believe he was the ring barer.

Love you Sammy and Chris!

We went to Zeus' for a wonderful dinner/reception.
Can't you just tell I am ready to explode!

Even The Minky came and hit on Emily.

Mr. Randolph's Birthday Party

This past Saturday night our friends(family) all gathered to celebrate Mr. Randolph's birthday. I am so glad that we always celebrate every ones birthday. Its very important to surround yourself with friends and family for such occasions. Our friends always gather for some sort of dinner or party for every ones birthday. It's not the gifts but the companionship that you miss when you don't celebrate your birthday.

I do my best, and sometimes fail, at making sure each person in our lives know they have a place in our heart. You never know when God will need you so celebrate each birthday, anniversary, holiday to its fullest.

Anyways..... ;-)! The pictures depict all the events of the night. Enjoy!

Our friends come in all shapes and sizes and we love them all.

His second wife! Wheazy takes better care of him anyways. She made his favorite meal, Chicken Alfredo, from scratch. How special is he!?

I loves my Nanny!

Cheese for Parrain!

We combined Mr. Randolph's birthday and CC's birthday. How special! Uncle Matthew loves his Princess CC so much and I do believe we will have to make it a tradition that they share a birthday party.

Future Mr. & Mrs. Kristopher O'Neal! Aren't they freaking adorable!?
Claire decided that her birthday present to her brother would be a cake.in.the.face! He is never spicious of her doing bad things so she was able to sneak right in there. HILARIOUS! Well at least we thought so, and then he chased her with the cake. Yep, we are all adults!

I had a get some loving from a few of my girls. They were nice and toasted so they didn't fight the camera shots like the smart ones do....Mishy and Wheazy!

Loves my Mr. Thevis!

PS. See that nice little cut on my eye....yeah I fell...on the floor...with my face...while sitting!
