Arts and Crafts:Maracas

DH brought Potato to school yesterday morning and everything was fine except for what we thought was a little diaper rash. There was no fever or even a sad Potato. He was in great spirits and ready to go play with his friends. I was at work and my cell rang....scary.... I answered and it was the day-care director. She loves Potato and always calls me personally when there is a problem.

DH and I took him to the doctor and Mr. Pediatrician diagnosed him with HFMD (hand, foot, and mouth disease) yesterday and can't go back to school until the doctor releases him. I do have to say that really got off easy with this sickness. He barely has any spots and there has been no fevers. Mr. Pediatrician said that HFMD is suppose to run 103-105 degree fevers. He is in great spirits.

I leave you with our art project for our first day of hookie!

Go check out my video you won't be sorry!

Blogger Awards

Boy do I feel special! I guess awards mean that I must being something right as far as my blog is concerned. It's really become addicting for me.

I enjoy sharing stories about my family and friends. I have a lot of friends and family that read and I love it because some live far away but with just a quick read they know just what our little family of three has been up too. I am writing these blogs more for my family and friends than I realize sometimes. I also try post as many memories as I can for my Potato.

I want to thank Kim at Chubby Cheeks Thinks for the next two awards. She has great giveaways and well her babies are to die for to say the least. She has also started her own little weight loss program and well that is just all inspiring! Please watch her as she reaches her goals and it may help you set your own.

I pass this award to:
  1. Mrs. E @ Baby Bits
  2. Harmskills @ Baby to Go
  3. Gina @ The Ish Blog

Anyway for this first award I have to share seven things about myself.

  1. I am a giver which means I usually get taken advantage of...yikes!
  2. I wear my heart on my sleeve so that usually means that I get hurt more often and by the ones closest to me or the ones I struggle to get closer too.
  3. I am a little adhd(self-diagnosed)!
  4. I love like no other that is why all my friends call me momma and they mean it!
  5. My pet peeve used to be tardiness now its just inconsiderate people with fake personalities.
  6. I am an overachiever! I (when my adhd doesn't get in the way) always go above and beyond peoples expectations.
  7. I am a fighter....meaning no one messes with my family or friends. GRRRR!

This next award has been given to me before but still makes me all shiny! I love this award simply because I am definitely not your perky happy blonde(sunshiney) so maybe this is my way of channeling that persona lol. NOT!

I pass this award to one of the shiniest people I know Claire @ The Smith Crew! Please go and check out her sweet blog.

Then my blogger buddy Sara @ Unofficial Mom sent me this award. Please make sure and check out her blog and get you some Pie!

I would like to give this award to Yeahwhatfun @ My Nickel's Worth and Other Thoughts. Makes you think!

Suppa Club! - Ala Michelle and Kris

Saturday night we had our second Suppa Club meeting. It was very much needed as a few of us girls don't get to see each other as often as we like and FB can only do so much. I missed my girls and well their hubbies are a huge plus.

We (Michelle and I) had a glass bottle of red wine and when we ran out of that decided that we would drink the rest of Sammy's "juice"! Michelle made fried rice with shrimp and well dessert was incredibly delicious.

After 5.5 hours of gut busting laughter the boys got wore out before we did so it was time to put them to bed. I can't wait for next month!

Build and Grow-Monster Truck

I love free programs and well this one has proven to be a memory maker for Potato and I. We have gotten family members involved and are making new friends all the time. It was a very busy build and it seems the word is getting out about the free program. I love it! The boys have fun and learn hand-eye coordination. I hope that our group continues to grow!

The first Saturday in July we will be at Home Depot. We are hoping that it goes better than our first build there.

Happy Juice!

I am still in a daze from Thursday night! Mr. T and Dr Shipley made it back from their honey moon and it was a wonderfully perfect evening! They are such a beautiful couple and we are lucky to have them in our lives.

Ok so the evening was HOT, SCORCHING....incredible! Bar-b-que and booze made it all better. I have to say after having Potato I find that babies at a party just mean 10 times more fun.

Potato acted shy at first and then I all but shoved him in the pool and the party got started. With a cute three year old running around he was is heaven.

Music was played along with a few rated R conversations (whilst no babies around). A night to remember.

Nanny Love

This past Friday Potato and I decided we needed to go visit Nanny Wheazy! She works so hard during the week and then does extra stuff for the public school that she barely has down time. Well I demanded a visit and I got it! We have been best friends/sisters since high school. I would be completely lost without her and her family. So its no wonder she was chosen to be our first born's Nanny. He loves her so much and it doesn't hurt that she spoils him rotten. Here are a few photos of him getting some much needed love.

We love you Nanny!

Mommy and Potato: Handme waaaay down!

How special is this?! I got to pass down a piece of clothing to my Potato! The name of the overalls are "Big Smith Overalls."

I took my first step while winking for the first time in these overalls. I was a big tomboy....can't ya tell?

I think he wears them better. Mr Potato face!

Meet the Po-Po

This morning I posted that Potato's day-care was having career week this week.

CBC Photography:Momma Got Talent!

When I look at how these pictures show my little man in his true form I tear up. I can't imagine life without him. I treasure each day, minute, and second I have with him in my arms. I know he won't always think that I am cool and will decide that he doesn't need me but DH and I will always strive to make a great life for him. What more can you ask for or do for that matter? I do my best to capture each moment and I know I can't record everything....I can try though.

I am really lucky my mom is extremely talented behind a camera and helps me in freezing memories.

Happy Father's Day....Daddy

When DH wakes up tomorrow morning Potato and I will have breakfast made for him again along with wonderfully creative gifts. Well I stole the idea but hey it takes a lot out of a mommy and thank God our photographer (my mom) is as patient as they come. She is all about the perfect shots and well she got a bunch. I narrowed it down to these three because they portray the true Potato. What do you think?

Potato and Mommy worked together and made these perfect cards for daddy. Since DH is a computer guru then the first one is more than fitting!

Potato made this tie at school for daddy!

I just know with all of Potato's hard work this will be one of DH's favorite Father's Day!

Make a Splash....Read: Book list for the week.

I can't wait to hit the library today to unload some books, watch Potato do an art page, play with puzzles, and then pick out a new collection for the week. All of this we will do with DADDY!
