Photobombed and a weekend recap!

The Randolph family had an awesome weekend. Of course; the house was packed with the normal squatters but they are a huge help...most of the times!

Friday, Mr Istre and I hit the movies and left my hubby and the rest of the squatters to their video games. We saw Horrible Bosses and it was amazing. It's a must see! We also tried out a new coffee shop and bumped into an old American Idol contestant.

Saturday morning I hit the gym -hard- with a friend and then home for a quick swim. You know it's not a weekend without pool time. I also love soakin.up.dem.rays! I was all to excited when the squatters and Mr Randolph came to the pool as well. Tater and I are usually by ourselves but it is a real treat when daddy can come and play. Clayton has been needing to show daddy his new swimming skills. We are quite proud of him and scared at the same time. He really has no fear of the water.

Thanks to his Nana and Papaw he has water wings and that calms me a LITTLE.

We spent Saturday night at Picantes, listening to karaoke by Rex. I laughed so hard and shook my lil booty all night. Tater got to spend the night at our friends parents house watching "carcoons" and eating "pahcorn." Overall the night was a success!

Ooooh I almost forgot to tell you that I met one of my best guy friends at a local shoe store on Friday after work. We were there to get my new running shoes. It was a late birthday gift that I can't seem to stop talking about. I felt so special and loved! Also on Saturday my girl Mishy and I went and got a facial. It was intense but I can't wait to go again!

Sunday was much more relaxed. Mr Istre and I hit the gym again then straight to the pool. Mr Randolph joined us again, and to say the least I had a huge smile on my face the while time. Tater went down for a nap and I stayed by the pool. I then headed to my neighbors house who just so happens to be a bestie to watch the last Harry Potter movie. Amazing! I can't wait for the last movie although I will be sad it is over.

For the rest of the afternoon I picked up and relaxed drove the men in the house crazy. So much fun!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Birthday America!

I want to send out a special thanks to the soldiers that still fight for my freedom. I also want to thank the soldiers that have fought and are no longer with us to be able celebrate.

Thanks to my Granfathers, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, my Lil bro and my best friends for your service to my country. I will be so proud of Tater if he decides to choose one of the branches that you guys are proud of! I have come to terms that he is surrounded by so many great soldiers that this could very well be his career path one day and Mr Randolph and I will only be proud and honor his decision.

Thanks again!

The pictures below are from our 4th of July celebration at the Wilson's.

Tater goes CAT fishin!

Tater got a new toy from Nana and Papaw and boy does he love it! Mr Randolph only had to show him how to cast a few times and we just let him loose on all the cat-fishies in the house.

I do love my boys!

Last shot...

To keep my career going with Prudential.

I found out on Wednesday that I am no longer being considered for the other 3 positions I applied for within Pru. This really cut me to the core because they never even talked to me, never gave me a shot!

I ended up crying all day and then on top of that I found out the my back up plan was no longer MY back up plan. The company is going to keep one full time OCS and btw the other two girls and myself we figured that if we ended up not getting a remote position then at least we would have a shot at keeping our current position. This is true for the Metairie girls. The company decided that the full time slot would be based out of the Parent Office that automatically counts me out. I have no desire to move down there and that is my down fall.

Anyways I am waiting to hear back from the one interview that I had on Tuesday. I am not holding my breathe since there are so may people applying.

After all this bad news and me promising myself and my family there would no more tears I have begun the search for a new career. This seems to have lit a fire under my ass and I seem to feel more confident and more in control of my life.

If I end up without a position with Pru then I will be placed on an exit plan where my last day will be in November. That is plenty of time to find another job and I have time to be picky. I think this is why I feel better. I feel like I have some sort of control and that is very important. This whole time I have had no control and I have had to watch other people, that have never met me decide my future.

Please keep me in mind and keep praying for my family. We are a little lost right now and I struggle most with letting go and putting it in Gods hands. This is where we new you...all of you! Please!
