Photobombed and a weekend recap!

The Randolph family had an awesome weekend. Of course; the house was packed with the normal squatters but they are a huge help...most of the times!

Friday, Mr Istre and I hit the movies and left my hubby and the rest of the squatters to their video games. We saw Horrible Bosses and it was amazing. It's a must see! We also tried out a new coffee shop and bumped into an old American Idol contestant.

Saturday morning I hit the gym -hard- with a friend and then home for a quick swim. You know it's not a weekend without pool time. I also love soakin.up.dem.rays! I was all to excited when the squatters and Mr Randolph came to the pool as well. Tater and I are usually by ourselves but it is a real treat when daddy can come and play. Clayton has been needing to show daddy his new swimming skills. We are quite proud of him and scared at the same time. He really has no fear of the water.

Thanks to his Nana and Papaw he has water wings and that calms me a LITTLE.

We spent Saturday night at Picantes, listening to karaoke by Rex. I laughed so hard and shook my lil booty all night. Tater got to spend the night at our friends parents house watching "carcoons" and eating "pahcorn." Overall the night was a success!

Ooooh I almost forgot to tell you that I met one of my best guy friends at a local shoe store on Friday after work. We were there to get my new running shoes. It was a late birthday gift that I can't seem to stop talking about. I felt so special and loved! Also on Saturday my girl Mishy and I went and got a facial. It was intense but I can't wait to go again!

Sunday was much more relaxed. Mr Istre and I hit the gym again then straight to the pool. Mr Randolph joined us again, and to say the least I had a huge smile on my face the while time. Tater went down for a nap and I stayed by the pool. I then headed to my neighbors house who just so happens to be a bestie to watch the last Harry Potter movie. Amazing! I can't wait for the last movie although I will be sad it is over.

For the rest of the afternoon I picked up and relaxed drove the men in the house crazy. So much fun!

Krom Fam Day #1

We were way to excited to see the Krom family. Since their flight got delayed and they were not arriving on Saturday we had to wait forever and see them in the afternoon on Sunday! Seemed like an eternity for the Randolph crew.

Well when the celebrities arrived they were smothered with kisses and we loaded up to meet the rest of the coon ass gang. It was quite wonderful since there was some of the best bbq and pool time.

The more and more Tater plays in the water the braver he gets. I get more worried each time because he doesn't know his limits yet. Well we all got our suits on and after a little while in the pool and a lot of pool water drank Tater puked. It was glorious considering mommy was right there to catch it all. Well we cleaned that up no big deal. Later he has a blowout in his pants and I am just dumb founded until I realize that he had 3 glasses of apple juice. I guess we set him up for failure.

We cleaned that up and he hit the pool again followed by more water drank and another vomit session but thankfully not on mommy. It was time for Tater to get out and that meant it was tantrum time. It was short lived I promise!

After way to much to each and great conversation we headed home to curl up on the couch.

OMGosh their here their here!

Sweet kisses from Tater.
Nana Rocks!

Uncle Matthew and Gecko getting in some quality time!
What a big happy family!

You just wish your life were this easy!
I just love him to pieces.

Brother and sister. He still looks up to her.....well sorta lol.

Yes this is the brave man sliding in to the water. No fear while mommy panics.

Daddy teached me swimmin! Day #1

As Potato go older we started adding more and more water to his bathes. Well we would give him play time and that would end in having half of the bath water on the floor because Potato was perfecting his diving and under water adventures. We new then that we had a fish on our hands. We did not have to teach him to blow bubbles or stick his head under the water he did that on his own and with no fear. This is a good and bad thing. When we go to the pool he makes a bee line for the water and thankfully we already have an adult ready for our little diver.

DH and I have been searching for a place to take Potato for swimming lessons for a bout 7 months now but haven't had much luck. Either places were really expensive or they did not offer days and times that we could make. For the 4th of July weekend all the friends came over and we had a pool party and of course Potato was showing off his abilities to swim. Everyone was very impressed and told us that we should be practicing with him on a daily basis. I agree.

On Thursday DH and I took him to the pool and had a lot of practice. The water was very refreshing and the perfect way to end a work day. We also had a few visitors come out to the pool and one of them happened to be a swim instructor. Her name was Kala.....meant to be....maybe ;-)! She was working with a 3 year old girl and a boy Potato's age. Kala was just shocked at how advanced Potato was and I felt bad for her because the little boy she was working with was rejecting the water.

She brought noodles and a little boogie board. Potato almost got out of our hands a few times trying to get to the boogie board. I will probably be picking up a noodle and a boogie board soon.

Anyway I took Kala's number and will give her a call next week. I am hoping she doesn't charge too much because I was very impressed with her patience and technique. I think I would prefer doing a group class more because I want to be involved in his progress and I love it when Potato is able to make new friends.

Daddy...let me see if you gots your big teeth in yet.

I love how he plays bashful.

It was incredibly bright outside.
