Turkey Day 1- Smith House

I always look forward to the holiday season. I believe I do better under stress and I simply love the madness of planning and partying. I know it’s not a piece of pie but I wouldn’t change a detail. That being said our holidays are hectic and sometimes cause rifts between Mr. Randolph and I.


It would be ideal to have everyone be able to get together for every holiday in one place and be able to get along. Well that is not the case (at least, not currently) for the Randolph-Smith family. So our holidays are spent running to each house making sure to get that quality time. Mr. Randolph wishes all would be happy and get along but he is also very tolerant and understanding of where we are in this madness.

Our family of three headed to my parent’s house for our first Thanksgiving feast of the day. My mom always has an insane spread although we couldn’t fully enjoy it because my dad and brother were working. They were so very much missed but thankfully we will be throwing ANOTHER Thanksgiving dinner sometime this week just for them. I know it sounds crazy but I love it! Plus we are having goose!

Since my mom is a photographer we always get plenty of family and Tater Man photos year round. How lucky are we?!?! It was such a beautiful day so instead of having to do shots in the studio we headed outside.

The kids made sure to be as difficult as possible but Momma being as talented as she is she got the shots we wanted and more.

After the photos we went inside for the feast followed by the girls chatting and both my Randolph men sleeping. We still had one party to go to so I could not have them being grumpy.

Eaton Wedding

Last post for March! I know......

One of my old church buddies got married a while back and I decided that the Randolph's would get all gussied up and go have a good time.

The wedding was beautiful and thankfully short. We did not have to fuss at Tater too much as he was a perfect little gentleman too busy scoping out the flower girls. Thankfully just because he didn't know why he didn't get to throw fowers and they did?!?!

My mom was working her magic taking photos for the bride and groom. I found it haliarious that her shots were way better than the paid photographer! Hmmm. Lets just say the bride was not at all happy that she did not book momma in time for the wedding. She was still excited that momma did get the shots she could.

I am a camera whore so each and every time I can get free family photos out of my mom I get them! I really enjoy these shots even if we forgot that Mr. Randolph's new glasses turn into shades in the sunlight. They have such sweet smiles that I can't get enough of!

                               

Puddin Momma!

My mom is the owner of CBC Photography. Over time she has shocked and even brought me to tears with the great memories that she has caught.

CBC stands for Clayton, Buck, and Cheyenne. Did you expect a grandmother to come up with such a wonderful name for her business. I LOVE it, although I am not quite sure what she will do when Claire or I have another child hehe.

I am not sure of the exact month but a few back CC was entered into a beauty contest. My mom did the same for me when I was a little baby and I won some type of award but who can remember that? Well for the contest you have to create your child a portfolio and the photos below were the ones my mom put in CC's/Puddins album for review.

The beauty contest was definitely not my cup of tea and its mostly because I don't agree with how aggressive the parents get with the competition and make it a chore for the children. Thankfully I did not bump into any mothers like that at this show. This event was for the all natural beauty and really what else do you really need to do to a 6 month old to make them beautiful. They are already!

We had to bring both Tater and my nephew, Monkey. NOT COOL! These rug rats had me wanting to hang them from the rafters ended up in time out several times. I had to bribe them with cookies that I stole from the sign in table.

Well Puddin walked on stage and it was like everyone knew she was the winner. I mean duh she was the most beautiful baby there. I am not bias at all lol! All in all she placed very well and she did win in the Portfolio division. Way to go mom for taking such great shots.

Biggest, Little Saints Fans

I have told you guys several times that my mom is a professional photographer. She just gets better and better.

This past weekend Potato got to take a half day from school go play with Monkey, Maw, Auntie Claire, and CC(She had to come she is in Auntie Claire's belly!) Well, Potato ended up spending the night Friday and Saturday. Let me just say that DH and I were having serious withdrawels. We knew he needed time with his cousins and g-parents.

My mom, being her sneaky self, decided that the boys needed to show their support for our NFL football team! I was so excited when momma came over with my own picture of a couple of my favorite little boys!

Happy 4th of July!

I hope that everyone is having a safe holiday weekend. We have a reunion, birthday, and a few get togethers amongst friends this weekend and DH and I could not be happier. Be safe!

PS We want to thank Mr T, Uncle Joey, and Uncle Richey for fighting for our country.

Build and Grow-Monster Truck

I love free programs and well this one has proven to be a memory maker for Potato and I. We have gotten family members involved and are making new friends all the time. It was a very busy build and it seems the word is getting out about the free program. I love it! The boys have fun and learn hand-eye coordination. I hope that our group continues to grow!

The first Saturday in July we will be at Home Depot. We are hoping that it goes better than our first build there.

Mommy and Potato: Handme waaaay down!

How special is this?! I got to pass down a piece of clothing to my Potato! The name of the overalls are "Big Smith Overalls."

I took my first step while winking for the first time in these overalls. I was a big tomboy....can't ya tell?

I think he wears them better. Mr Potato face!

CBC Photography:Momma Got Talent!

When I look at how these pictures show my little man in his true form I tear up. I can't imagine life without him. I treasure each day, minute, and second I have with him in my arms. I know he won't always think that I am cool and will decide that he doesn't need me but DH and I will always strive to make a great life for him. What more can you ask for or do for that matter? I do my best to capture each moment and I know I can't record everything....I can try though.

I am really lucky my mom is extremely talented behind a camera and helps me in freezing memories.
