Wordless Wednesday: Memories for the Vault!

Rythms on the River:Wayne Toups

Claire, my mom, Monkey(my beautiful nephew), Potato, and I made sure not to
miss the last Rhythms for the season. Wayne Toups had us all shaking our
hind parts. Potato loves Cajun music and he should as it runs in his veins.
Monkey was even throwing his hands up in the air. He has a new smile that
is to die for and of course it melts Auntie Kayla! I could not have had a
better night. I broke out my radio flyer wagon because the strollers were
becoming hard to work with and its more fun for the boys to be able to ride
together. I was fully expecting to not have a place to stand much less be
able lay out our huge blanket for all 5 of us to sit and relax. I was
wrong! It was very roomy and we were very comfortable. We were bad mommies
and forgot to bring toys like we normally do but we did bring enough food
to feed an army of Potato's! After the music we headed to the pond to let
the boys get out there pent up energy and the mommies got to relax. I am
getting to be so close to my sister-n-law and mother and I just have to
thank God for all the blessings in my life. Now to find something to do
with our Thursday evenings. I think we are going to be bringing the boys to
Girard Park. They are just a little spoiled!

When I woke up this morning there was a smile on my face! Today was Mommies Day Out! I absolutely love Thursday and my outing with my sister-n-law and nephew. My mom also decided to join in so our little group is growing! The weather was warm at first but the music more than made up for that!


I don't believe two mommies could have been more prepared than us today. We had snacks, juices, toys, a blanket to sit on, chocolate brownies, and oh a cold bottle of white wine. The wine was more for me and not so much for my pregger sister, although she did have a sip. No harm! We had a wonderful time and just can't wait until next Thursday.

Rythms on the River: Marcia Ball

Thursday rolled around and that means it is MOMMY's DAY OUT! Claire's mother bought a whole mess load of new maternity clothes and she was just itching to have a reason to wear them. She is a homemaker and a great one I might add but she does not get much a lone time. She is 5 months pregnant and I figure she needed an excuse to get out of the house and enjoy great music and relax. This was our second time going to Rhythms and it was such a beautiful day.

Potato was ready to go and get his jam on and as you can see he got a new prize. His Aunt Claire bought him an Elmo backpack and of course his nose lights up when you look at it! Its also a rolling book bag that he will like to pull behind him later. We made sure to back a juice, lunchable, vanilla wafers, and cheesy poofs!

After the music ceased we decided to walk around and explore the "Riches" of River Ranch. We both were having a few emotional break-throughs but I think that is to be expected when you have a hormonal pregger lady and well me ;-)! We had to much fun to take pictures so this was all I got.
