Laissez les bon ton roulet!-- Let the good times roll!

Whew I know this is an old one but I will share anyways. This is from Mardi Gras 2011 and Clayton's first parade he was fully able to understand and enjoy. We were so happy to be able to share it with a couple of our friends.

Wordless Wednesday- Potato the Builder! He can fix it!

All I can say is that Clayton has it bad for his Papaw. I guess that is why he is named after him!

Happy Valentines Day!

I know that today is a made up holiday but really who cares. Matthew and I never do anything special on these days because we know that we love one another. With that said we also feel like this holiday can still be put to use by just celebrating our love and the love that we have for our baby boy.

Clayton is having his first valentines day party at daycare and I couldn't have been more excited. As usual I went a little over board for his class but who cares. Firsts are meant to be special. I got him valentine cards to pass around plus two boxes of candy for the class and a few treats. Matthew laughs at me since I am almost always the only parent that brings stuff but to me that means that I will be the cool parent! I don't mind lol!

I hope everyone has a happy Monday!

Tater we love you and hope that you have a great day today.

Choo Choo Dat!

I did not realize how much joy could come out of a train set until this past week. Louisiana had a BLIZZARD, below freezing rain come in on Thursday and I got to go home early. Friday in turn was suppose to be worse and it just proved that Tater and Mommy would be playing hooky at home in our pjs.
Since hubby had to travel that day my nerves were shot worrying about him and the supposedly icy roads. I put all that energy towards cleaning up the house and putting together the train set.......AGAIN! I could not believe that I was able to put the damn thing together on my own. I mean really the thing has a bajillion pieces!!! ;-)
I also decided to pull out the coordinating outfit that my pal Stevi got Clayton for his birthday. He freaked and now has a love for dress-up. The outfit came with coveralls, pocket watch, train whistle, radio, kerchief, and the most adorable hat. I couldn't possibly miss putting one piece on him even if he was only interested in the radio and hat. Thanks again Stevi for the sweet costume!
I haven't been on top of my game with the camera lately but it is coming out again and I made sure to get some of the best shots I could. He was hammin it up! I think I am in love with this little man and how can I tell because each time his said "choo-choo" my heart melted! I loved watching his pudgy little fingers connect all the train carts together and push them over the rails. The best part of the train set is not only how much it has going on but the fact that at a few of the check points makes noises as the train rides over them. I will have to video tape that soon.
I hope you enjoy the pictures of our little Train Conductor.

New hat n habit!

Potato got to play hookie last week and he always enjoys that...especially when he gets to stay with Nana and Papaw! Matthew and I are always appreciative of a night alone even though we spend most of it talking about our little man. Is there ever a moment where you are not thinking about your own little creation? I can't say that there is a moment like that.
Well this past visit was a little more special than most. I have been wanting to get Clayton a baseball cap of his own. Thankfully Nana surprised Tater and mommy with a nice little black ballcap. Now the only issue is to get the kid to take it off?!?!?! He HAS to wear it to school and makes sure to fuss Mrs. Cheryl if she thinks she is going to take it off.
On top of the hat Potato came home with a new habit. The child already has no balance what-so-ever but you add the fact that he likes to walk around with his hands in his pockets....makes for a very unbalanced Tater. I am hoping that the walls start moving out of his way and that the cement starts turning into goose feathers. I guess that is too much too much to ask though ;-)!
